Meet Dr. Williams             

Dr. Shane A. Williams was born and raised in Paducah, KY.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and his dental degree at the University of Louisville. While at Louisville, he served as president of  his dental school class and was a representative on the Admissions Committee to the dental school. He had many accomplishments during his dental school career including the Dr. X Elwood Sanders Oral Surgery Award, Omicron Delta Kappa Outstanding Graduating Senior Award and the National Boards Part I Scholarship Award.

Dr. Williams completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Oklahoma.  While in Oklahoma, he had a broad scope of training including dental implants, wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, anesthesia, corrective jaw surgery, craniofacial trauma, cleft lip & palate, and TMJ surgery.

Dr. Williams is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  This is an arduous process and level of distinction not required to practice oral surgery, but represents a commitment to learning and degree of knowledge in the full scope of oral maxillofacial surgery.  He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, as well as the Tennessee Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Tennessee Dental Association and the Nashville Dental Society.

Dr. Williams practiced in Nashville from 2012 to 2017 before  moving back to his home state of Kentucky and joining Southern Kentucky Oral Surgery Associates. In his spare time, Dr. Williams enjoys spending time in the outdoors hiking, camping, and golfing.
