Meet Dr. Cohron

After attending Western Kentucky University, Dr. Jerry Cohron attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry from 1968-1971 where he graduated with honors. He was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society (top 10 in class standing) at U of L.

Dr. Cohron did his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic from 1971-1974. He also received his Master of Science Degree in 1974 from the University of Iowa.

He began practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1974 in Bowling Green, KY at Nuckols and Cohron, PSC. Dr. Cohron remained in that practice until 2002 when he opened a private practice in The Potter Building on Elm Street.

Dr. Cohron was accepted into the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1983. He joined Southern Kentucky Oral Surgery Associates on a part time basis in 2014.

His farm in Warren County has been his avocation for many years. And, he has been active in the community serving as the founding chairman of the Bowling Green/Warren Symphony Orchestra from 1982-1986. He is also currently a member of the Bowling Green/Warren County Regional Airport Board.

Dr. Cohron is married to Mary Davis Cohron. They have two children, Sara and Chris and five grandchildren.
